If you are a victim of a crime, you will face a lot of challenges. The police want you to report the incident, you are shocked by what happened, and you receive mail from the police and the public prosecutor's office asking you to exercise your right to speak, attend court, and file a claim. A crime also has a profound impact on you. Your physical integrity has been violated, it can keep you awake at night, and you no longer feel safe. As a victim advocate, we guide you through the legal aspects of the process. We assist you with your right to speak, explaining to the judge how the incident affected you, and we help you recover damages you suffered as a result. We can also help you with a restraining order and/or restraining order if necessary. We almost always do all of this pro bono. You don't have to pay us for this. If you have any questions, please contact us.
